(What have you learned about technologies from the process of constructing this product?)

The making of Street Style was an exciting experience for me. In terms of equipment, it different to all my other productions, as I usually use a DSLR for filming.

For Street Style, however, we borrowed a Canon XF100 from the media department, along with the appropriate tripod and a steadicam. This was my first time working with a camera of such a high calibre and I had done a lot of reasearch in preparation before we filmed.

Another equipment I used for the first time was a stradicam. It stablised the camera during dance shots and helped me in tricky situations while filming. This inspired me to buy one mysel, since I found out the importance of them and how much they can improve the quality of my product.

Another thing I was new to in terms of technology was the editing softwares we used. Since I'm a Mac user, I had been used to editing on Final Cut Pro. However, the programs used in school were Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. In order to learn them, I had to download the programs on my Mac and practice, using YouTube tutorials and learning from watching others edit. As hard as it was, it gave me the experience of a new editing program and it helped me expand on my editing skills.

Another tech device I got to use while editing was a graphics tablet. The Street Style logo seen at the end of the opening sequence was originally an image I drew that was meant to appear at th end. It was drawn out, then traced with photoshop and exported as a PNG file that we would have put into After effects. However, we found a similar, less messy font that suited our product better and we used it instead.
